When tears came to Baru’s eyes, I rushed over immediately, but he shook his head.

“Y-you remembered…my birthday. That’s the whole reason we went to the beach today wasn’t it? I t-thought you forgot.” He rushed into my arms and hugged me. “I was so a-alone…all those years. I believed I’d never see you again or that we’d forget each other…” Baru broke down in tears of joy, I wrapped my arms around him, and held him close, smiling in blissful happiness of the moment.
